Step into a vital role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year! Four full-time opportunities are available: one at the middle school level and three at the high school level, each specializing in Science, Math, or Social Studies. These positions are onsite and set within vibrant school communities that value dedication and experience, beginning August 24, 2026, and continuing through June 10, 2027.

Candidates will craft and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with contemporary state and district standards, adapting instruction through formative assessment and differentiation. Strong classroom presence and effective behavioral management skills are key, as is the ability to thrive in urban school environments.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Special Education certification/licensure required for caseload assignments
  • Bachelor’s degree required (needed for emergency teaching permit)
  • Prior experience working in schools, preferably in urban settings
  • Demonstrated mastery of subject matter for Science, Math, or Social Studies (depending on high school assignment)
  • Reliable transportation to maintain consistent onsite presence
  • Completion of all Pennsylvania state clearances prior to start date
  • Confident in utilizing a variety of instructional and resource materials
  • Skilled in classroom and behavioral management
  • Flexible to work required hours without schedule accommodations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, adapt, and implement engaging, differentiation-focused lesson plans
  • Follow state and district guidelines to assess and support student growth and learning
