Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. As one of two occupational therapists supporting the district, you’ll make a meaningful difference by delivering exceptional care and fostering student success. This full-time position (40 hours per week) offers a well-rounded caseload, typically around 30 students, and includes opportunities to collaborate with staff on Tier 1 supports throughout the district.
Desired Qualifications:
- Washington state licensure or eligibility to obtain OT certification prior to start
- Recent experience in a school setting and a strong understanding of school-based OT services
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and deliver both direct and consultative services
- Comfortable providing Tier 1 support and training for education staff
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational abilities and flexibility
- References required as part of the district’s hiring process
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, develop and implement individualized intervention plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote access to the curriculum
- Offer consultation and training to staff as part of Tier 1 intervention strategies
- Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting standards
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
