Job Description

You’ll have the chance to work in one of two specialized classroom settings:
- One classroom with students managing multiple disabilities, including autism, non-verbal communication needs, and physical impairments (approximately 9-12 students).
- Another classroom serving students with emotional disabilities, focusing on behavioral intervention plans, social-emotional learning strategies, and crisis intervention (estimated 10-15 students).
Start Date: August 24, 2026
End Date: June 7, 2027
Weekly Schedule: 37.5 hours
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid teaching license in Special Education
- Experience working with students with multiple or emotional disabilities strongly preferred
- Skilled in adapting curriculum and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Background in implementing BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans) and crisis intervention
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and school teams
- Ability to foster a supportive, structured classroom environment for all learners
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging, individualized instruction for students
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize positive behavioral support and crisis intervention strategies as needed
- Provide regular communication with families and support networks
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Support a culture of safety, inclusion, and academic growth
