Special Education Teacher in Cleveland, OH

You’ll have the chance to work in one of two specialized classroom settings:

• One classroom with students managing multiple disabilities, including autism, non-verbal communication needs, and physical impairments (approximately 9-12 students).
• Another classroom serving students with emotional disabilities, focusing on behavioral intervention plans, social-emotional learning strategies, and crisis intervention (estimated 10-15 students).

Start Date: August 24, 2026
End Date: June 7, 2027
Weekly Schedule: 37.5 hours

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid teaching license in Special Education
• Experience working with students with multiple or emotional disabilities strongly preferred
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Background in implementing BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans) and crisis intervention
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and school teams
• Ability to foster a supportive, structured classroom environment for all learners

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging, individualized instruction for students
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize positive behavioral support and crisis intervention strategies as needed
• Provide regular communication with families and support networks
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
