Position Overview

Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician with a strong industrial background to support ongoing work at water and wastewater treatment facilities in the North Salt Lake area. This opportunity offers the potential for long-term employment or direct placement with an established industrial contractor.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, controls, and power distribution equipment, while also being comfortable managing documentation, engineering specifications, and project paperwork.

Responsibilities

\n
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems
\n
• Perform electrical work within water and wastewater treatment facilities
\n
• Install and terminate motors, control panels, disconnects, MCCs, and related equipment
\n
• Assist with PLC-controlled systems, instrumentation, and process controls
\n
• Install and support cable tray systems, conduit, and power distribution equipment
\n
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, blueprints, and engineering specifications
\n
• Complete daily reports, documentation, and other project-related paperwork
\n
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
\n
• Follow all OSHA, NEC, and site-specific safety requirements
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Active Journeyman Electrician License required
\n
• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
\n
• Previous experience in water or wastewater treatment facilities strongly preferred
\n
• Proficiency with: \n

  • PLC systems
  \n
  • Motors and motor controls
  \n
  • MCCs and VFDs
  \n
  • Instrumentation and process controls
  \n
  • Cable tray and conduit systems
  \n

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, plans, and engineering documents

• Strong organizational and communication skills
\n
• Comfortable handling administrative and back-office responsibilities
\n
• Reliable transportation and ability to meet project demands
\n
