Draw blood specimens from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.
Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing following established procedures.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining procedures and creating a trusting environment for patients.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimens and related activities.
Ensure a safe and professional environment, adhering to safety protocols and confidentiality standards.
Perform specimen collection and processing duties confidently, demonstrating leadership behaviors and process excellence.
Work independently with minimal supervision and manage assigned tasks promptly and accurately.
Required Skills
Ability to perform error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
Excellent communication skills to explain procedures and foster patient trust.
Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks related to specimen documentation.
Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and attendance.
Additional Skills & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Minimum of 6 months' phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime shifts.
Ability to work within a 20-25 minute commute of the worksite.
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus, with excellent understanding of both languages.
