Position: Human Resources Intern

\n

Department: Human Resources

\n

\n

Primary Objective of Position:

\n

The HR Intern provides day-to-day support to the HR Team, Union and Non-union employees, and management in various HR functions; including recruitment, employee relations, records management, and administrative tasks. The role offers hands-on experience in HR processes while assisting the team in maintaining efficient and organized HR operations.

\n

\n

Major Areas of Accountability:

\n

· Assist and support Human Resources initiatives.

\n

· Support HR Team in meeting hiring targets.

\n

· Assist in end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews.

\n

· Provide assistance in conducting employment verification checks.

\n

· Coordinate and participate in new-hire orientation.

\n

· Gather data and create HR documents | Recruitment reports.

\n

· Assist and organize training and employee engagement activities.

\n

· Create, maintain, and organize employee records.

\n

· Create and post HR Communications; Shop and Office environments.

\n

· Maintain confidentiality of applicant and company information.

\n

· Perform other activities as required by the Human Resources Manager.

\n

\n

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

\n

· >3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale).

\n

· Currently a full-time or part-time student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a similar discipline at the undergraduate or graduate level.

\n

· Good understanding of full-cycle recruiting.

\n

· Experience creating documents with MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and Power-point

\n

· Energetic, enthusiastic self-starter; able to organize and pursue broad objectives under the guidance of a mentor.

\n

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

\n

· Detail-oriented and highly organized.

\n

· Strong people skills and the ability to engage with all employees.

\n

· Ability to prioritize and juggle tasks to meet deadlines.

\n

· Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and maintains positive | professional working relationships with all employees, applicants, and HR team members.

\n
