Location: Eden Prairie, MN 55344
Duration: 6-mo contract to direct hire (will convert full time!)
Pay rate: $46/hr - $60/hr
Required Skills & Experience
- Valid Master Electrician license with an Industrial Electrician designation
- 2–3 years of hands-on industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience performing industrial electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs, and power distribution
- Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safety standards, including the NEC
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Experience supporting equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and complex electrical diagnostics
Job Description
We're seeking a Master Industrial Electrician to wire, test, troubleshoot, and maintain motor and control circuitry for advanced manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This is a strong fit for an industrial electrician who has built a few years of hands-on experience and holds a Master Electrician license with an Industrial designation, and who is ready to take ownership of complex electrical work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
The Master Industrial Electrician will partner closely with engineering to install, maintain, and improve industrial electrical systems, ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), and contribute to a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wire, test, troubleshoot, and maintain motor and control circuitry for equipment and facility systems
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to complete accurate wiring and installations
- Ensure proper application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) by verifying documentation prior to wiring
- Perform industrial electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, including complex electrical diagnostics
- Support equipment reliability and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Partner with engineers to resolve electrical problems and develop process improvements for ease of manufacturing and improved designs
- Meet wiring time standards and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and on-time delivery
- May travel occasionally to customer sites to install, modify, or upgrade systems
- Maintain an organized, safe work area and follow all safety procedures
- Support Total Quality Management (TQM) objectives through quality contributions to products, co-workers, and customers
- Assist with department training needs and set a professional example in the work area
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
