Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in the Denver area. This full-time, Monday through Friday contract opportunity runs from early August through late May, providing you with a stable academic calendar and the chance to make a lasting impact in a vibrant school community.

You will work with a K-5 caseload, specializing in teaching Math and serving as a dedicated case manager for approximately 10 students, while instructing a total of 20. Collaboration and leadership skills are key, as you’ll be at the helm of a classroom team with 3-4 paraeducators supporting your efforts to differentiate instruction and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; a college degree is strongly preferred.
  • Valid credentials in Special Education.
  • Experience with K-5 learners and strong mathematics instructional skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead support staff within the classroom.
  • Comfortable engaging in panel interviews (3–10 district representatives present) via Google Meets.
  • Professionalism and adaptability for timely credentialing and background checks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver specialized math instruction to a diverse K-5 student group.
  • Case manage IEPs for approximately 10 students, ensuring compliance and individual growth.
  • Lead and support 3–4 paraeducators in providing targeted academic and social-emotional interventions.
  • Maintain close communication with families, support staff, and administration.
  • Uphold all school and district policies with professionalism and care.
