Job Description
Exciting contract opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist to make a meaningful difference in elementary education. This full-time position is ideal for professionals committed to supporting student success and promoting positive learning environments. The assignment starts July 27, 2026, and runs through May 21, 2027, providing stability throughout the academic year.
You’ll serve the elementary age group and collaborate with special education teams at multiple schools. With a manageable caseload averaging 40 students with IEPs per school, and no direct services required, you can focus on comprehensive psychological services, consultation, and program development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid and active School Psychologist license issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE)
- Previous experience in school psychology, especially in elementary settings, preferred
- Solid understanding of special education law, IEP processes, and MTSS/RTI frameworks
- Strong consultative and collaborative skills to work with faculty, families, and external partners
- Ability to interpret assessment data and provide actionable recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Consult with special education staff regarding student needs, interventions, and accommodation planning
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams for eligibility determinations and reevaluations
- Review student evaluations and assessment results; interpret findings for staff and families
- Develop and support behavioral interventions and positive school climate initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Facilitate professional development opportunities on mental health and learning differences
