Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Physical Therapist license
- School-based experience is a plus, but not required—motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to facilitate strong partnerships with staff, families, and students
- Skilled in documentation, assessment, and individualized intervention planning
- Adaptable, organized, and committed to fostering student independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop personalized treatment plans to support physical and educational advancement
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and school staff to enhance classroom participation for students with physical challenges
- Provide consultation and training for educational staff to ensure proper implementation of therapy recommendations
- Maintain detailed progress records and participate actively in IEP meetings and team discussions
- Promote safe mobility and access to the learning environment for all students
