Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Active and current California license or credential as appropriate
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and work effectively alongside educators, families, and students
  • Commitment to cultural sensitivity and supporting diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, families, and outside providers to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Assist in developing and implementing intervention plans for students referred for mental health support
  • Contribute to crisis intervention services, providing immediate support during urgent situations
  • Maintain detailed, confidential records and necessary documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
