Job Description
Make an impact in the lives of students by supporting their educational journey as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This contract opportunity involves working across two schools daily within a connected school cluster, providing specialized services to students in elementary and middle school levels (K-8).

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Educator Certification and National Certification required
- Experience working with visually impaired students in a K-8 school environment preferred
- Familiarity with Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive strategies for visual impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to multiple school sites and work effectively as an itinerant specialist
- Successful district background check, fingerprinting, and timely completion of credentialing paperwork
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative instructional support to a caseload of approximately 12 students across elementary and middle school sites
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and accommodations
- Utilize adaptive tools and technology to support student learning and independence
- Partner with educators, administrators, and families to ensure student success within inclusive settings
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with district and state requirements
- Travel between assigned school sites within the designated clusters as needed
This role begins on August 10, 2026, and runs through late May 2027, offering full-time hours during the school year. Candidates will enjoy the stability of a contract role, meaningful connections with students, and a supportive educational environment.
