Personal Injury Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Job Description
Position Summary
Assist attorneys with all aspects of pre-suit personal injury case management, including insurance communications, medical records collection, lien resolution, client communication, and case organization.
This is initially an in-office position. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered after a successful review period.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal, legal assistant, or legal secretary
Minimum 3 years of experience handling personal injury claims

Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Outlook
Adobe Acrobat
Google Chrome

Working knowledge of:
Bodily Injury (BI) coverage
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage
Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
Medical Payments Coverage (MedPay)
Health insurance claims and coverage

Experience:
Opening insurance claims
Obtaining medical records and billing records
Preparing medical billing summaries
Assisting clients with PIP applications
Obtaining health insurance lien information
Excellent telephone and written communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage assignments independently and follow up without constant supervision
Ability to communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters
Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fluency in Spanish
