Job Description
Our organization is in search of a Board Certified Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon to become part of a well-established and expanding practice located along the coast in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Preferred Experience... We are looking for a candidate who is interested in both general and sports orthopaedics, particularly in a rapidly growing area recognized as one of the fastest expanding counties in the nation!
Key Responsibilities Include:
A thriving and established sports program!
Collaboration with 1 Sports Surgeon, 2 non-operative sports physicians, and 1 Sports Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
Orthopaedic team includes 3 joint surgeons, 1 foot & ankle specialist, 1 upper extremity surgeon, 1 spine surgeon, and a robust group of Advanced Practice Providers.
Access to practice and operating room time! Opportunities in growing ORs and a freestanding surgical center!
Emergency department call is shared among the surgeons.
A team of 9 Advanced Practice Providers supports the inpatient call rotation.
Partnerships with local high schools and colleges.
General orthopaedics experience is required.
While experienced candidates are preferred, new graduates are also welcome to apply.

McLeod Health Loris, a non-profit 50-bed hospital, focuses on general surgery, women's health services, emergency care, critical care, urology, and various therapies including physical, occupational, and speech. Additionally, we are proud to introduce a new and expanding Dialysis Access Center.
The Carolina Forest area is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care, providing access to top-tier physicians, enhancing specialty services, and investing in advanced technology. The 43-acre McLeod Health Carolina Forest campus will feature a seven-building complex offering diverse services. A state-of-the-art facility, costing $56 million, is set to include 48 beds, ensuring immediate care access for all patients. This facility is expected to be completed within the next two years, with an anticipated opening in 2026.
