Job Description

Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Georgia Special Education Teaching Certification
- Previous experience working with early elementary students preferred
- Strong ability to differentiate instruction and adapt to diverse learning needs
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and positive classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction in a blended classroom setting for 1st and 2nd graders with varied learning abilities
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation for assigned caseload
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech and occupational therapists, and other support staff
- Foster an encouraging classroom environment that promotes student engagement, confidence, and achievement
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student development and classroom activities
- Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
This opportunity begins August 3, 2026, and extends through May 21, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 35 hours over five days. You’ll receive a competitive hourly rate of $35, plus weekly pay for your dedication.
