LBS1 Special Education Teacher - Maternity Leave | Lockport, IL
Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking an LBS1 Special Education Teacher for a maternity leave assignment in Lockport, IL for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time position runs from **August 17, 2026 through November 20, 2026** and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from **7:30 AM to 2:30 PM**.
The selected candidate will support a junior high caseload in an inclusion setting by co-teaching science classes alongside general education teachers. Responsibilities include modifying classroom assignments and assessments, ensuring IEP accommodations are implemented, and collaborating with staff to support student success. The daily schedule consists primarily of 7th and 8th grade co-taught science classes with two planning periods built into the day.
Candidates must hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License with an LBS1 endorsement. Previous school-based experience is preferred.
