Job Description
Step into a vital role shaping student success as a contracted school psychologist covering two leaves of absence at both elementary and high school levels near Brockton, MA. This full-year assignment offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in diverse educational settings.
The first position focuses on elementary students, running from September 1 through November 2, 2026. Responsibilities will include conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations, chairing IEP meetings, and providing counseling support to young learners. The second assignment is at the high school level, with a start date overlapping December 21–22 to ensure a smooth transition, and concluding in early May. Here, you’ll concentrate on assessments and re-evaluations specifically for students within the resource program, collaborating with two other dedicated school psychologists.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a valid School Psychologist certification/license for Massachusetts
- Experience working with both elementary and high school populations preferred
- Strong background in administering and interpreting psychological assessments
- Proficient in chairing and participating in IEP meetings
- Established counseling skills with K-12 students
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt seamlessly to new school environments and teams
Responsibilities:
- Perform initial and re-evaluation assessments for special education eligibility
- Serve as the IEP team chair, facilitating meetings and documentation
- Provide direct counseling services to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and adhere to all district and state guidelines
