In this contract role, you'll help deliver much-needed support to a former student in Lexington, Massachusetts, assisting with a special case that requires both compassion and adaptability. With an assignment totaling just 8 hours (not recurring weekly), this position offers flexibility for professionals seeking additional specialized experience or looking to diversify their school-based practice.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts
- Experience in school and/or home health OT settings
- Strong understanding of compensatory services and the IEP process
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with families and educational teams
- Proven problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently
- Preferred: Previous involvement with district or state-level student service resolutions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer direct compensatory occupational therapy services to a former student as directed by the district
- Complete assessment and service documentation in accordance with federal, state, and district requirements
- Collaborate with relevant professionals and communicate progress as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all guidelines regarding student records
- Flexibly address unique student needs in a non-traditional service delivery arrangement
