We have partnered with a large industrial construction company in the Indianapolis, IN area to provide them with a Project Manager. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.
\nPrioritized Must Have Skills for the Project Manager:
\n#1. Must have Industrial Construction experience.
\n#2. Must have working knowledge of Primavera P6
\n#3. No more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years.
\nResponsibilities of the Project Manager:
\n- \n
- Demonstrate proficiency in the following functions within the Project Controls department \n
- \n
- Develop and maintain fundamental project schedule utilizing Primavera P6 \n
- Develop and implement cost tracking system for the project \n
- Provide accurate cost forecasting of projects \n
- Able to develop change management tracking within the project \n
\n - Demonstrate a solid competence in the following functions of the Estimating department \n
- \n
- Perform direct work labor estimates \n
- Develop material lists based on current engineering specifications \n
- Development of proposals \n
- Strong understanding of estimating units such as MCA or Hang and Tack \n
- Strong understanding of material rate structures for estimating \n
- Solid understanding of labor rate development and definition of costs \n
\n - Perform, at an expert level, the following functions within the Project Services department \n
- \n
- Material procurement and tracking \n
- Rental Equipment solicitation and tracking \n
- Internal Tool Requestion \n
\n - Interpret the commercial terms and conditions for projects \n
- Understand and explain craft labor agreements \n
- Understand and describe various contract strategies and types \n
- Conduct and participate in Construction Operations Meetings \n
- Proficient in performing accounting system functions including \n
- \n
- Solid understanding and able to explain craft pay rates and overtime rules \n
- Mentor new foremen in payroll procedures \n
- Understand cash flow and participate in invoice preparation and collection of accounts receivable \n
\n - Actively participate in customer entertainment outside of the normal workday and continue building strong customer relationships \n
- Attend Risk Management training to keep up to date with risks that the company will accept on projects \n
- Proficiently perform effective safety audits weekly \n
- Be an expert with unsafe behaviors in the field as well as how to prevent and stop these behaviors \n
- Participate in company Safety Incentive programs and in daily safety planning activities \n
- Participate in Quality Action Teams and actively seek areas where we can improve day to day operations and procedures \n
- Exhibit a solid understanding of the company Marketing Plan and assist in pursuit of projects that are in line with the Marketing Plan \n
- Attend training courses that will increase your knowledge and add value to your development \n
- Serve as an active member on internal committees and task forces \n
Requirements of the Project Manager:
\n- \n
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Engineering, Management or a related field is required. \n
- Commitment to continuing education to ensure that skillsets match project needs is critical. \n
- Minimum 8 years of Industrial Construction experience required \n
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills \n
- Experience using project management software, such as Primavera P6 \n
