Business Analyst
Job Description
E-Logic is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support a proposed IT Finance Management & Process Improvement initiative for the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE). This position is part of a competitive proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award.
\nThe ideal candidate will have experience analyzing operational and financial processes, gathering business requirements, and supporting process improvement initiatives within IT, finance, or government environments.
\n\nNote: This is not a fully remote position. Candidates should expect occasional travel into New York City, particularly during planning, coordination, and stakeholder alignment phases.
\n\nKey Responsibilities

- Conduct current-state assessments and gap analysis of finance, capital planning, and operational processes \n
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions \n
- Document business processes, functional requirements, and improvement opportunities \n
- Support the development of strategic roadmaps, governance frameworks, and prioritization models \n
- Collaborate with Project Managers and technical teams to translate business needs into actionable solutions \n
- Develop process maps, RACI matrices, workflow documentation, and governance materials \n
- Assist with operational reporting, documentation management, and process optimization initiatives \n
Required Qualifications
\n- \n
- Minimum of 4 years of Business Analysis experience, preferably supporting finance, IT, or government sector initiatives \n
- Strong experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, and requirements gathering \n
- Excellent analytical, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills \n
- Experience using LucidChart, Visio, or similar process documentation tools \n
- CBAP or similar certification is a plus \n
Preferred Skills

- Experience supporting operational transformation or process improvement initiatives \n
- Familiarity with IT finance management and governance frameworks \n
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders \n
- Experience supporting proposal-based or contract-driven engagements is a plus \n
