Job Description
Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a critical role supporting patient diagnostics as an MRI Technologist. In this contract-based position, you’ll utilize your advanced imaging expertise to deliver precise, high-quality MRI scans that directly impact patient care. Your technical knowledge and excellent patient interaction skills will be key in working alongside radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Accredited certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology
- Current registry through ARRT (MR) or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience with MRI scanning protocols, safety procedures, and troubleshooting MRI equipment
- Comprehensive understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and basic pathologies
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication abilities
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality MRI scans per physician orders and departmental standards
- Ensure patient comfort and safety while explaining procedures clearly and compassionately
- Operate and calibrate MRI equipment, adhering to compliance and safety regulations
- Work closely with radiologists to achieve optimal image quality for accurate interpretations
- Maintain clear, accurate patient records and document imaging procedures as required
- Monitor supply inventory and assist in coordinating workflow for efficient patient throughput
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance and improvement activities
