Special Education Teacher - Gaffney, SC

This is a full-time, contract opportunity for a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated instruction and support, working onsite in a welcoming school setting near Gaffney, SC.

Key Qualifications:

• Current South Carolina Special Education Certification or documentation of pending certification status
• Previous classroom experience serving students with learning disabilities strongly preferred
• Ability to manage an LD (Learning Disabilities) self-contained classroom
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive educational environment
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Must be available for a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week) during standard school hours
• Onsite presence required – virtual or hybrid arrangements are not available

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students in a self-contained LD classroom
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Foster a safe and encouraging classroom climate focused on growth and empowerment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
