Qualifications:
- Valid GA Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Previous experience working with early elementary students preferred
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and classroom management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to meet the needs of a blended caseload
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for a caseload of 1st and 2nd graders
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, related service providers, and families
- Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment tailored to diverse academic and behavioral needs
- Assess students’ progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain consistent documentation and fulfill all state and district reporting requirements
- Foster open communication with parents and caregivers
