An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials to provide supervision and support in a school-based setting near Arvada, CO. This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about mentoring and making a difference in the lives of students and colleagues alike.
You'll be responsible for supervising a Clinical Fellow (SLP CF), providing a combination of direct and indirect support each trimester. The role involves 6 hours of direct and 6 hours of indirect supervision across three trimesters, providing critical guidance and expertise as the SLP CF develops their clinical skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Valid SLP license for the state of Colorado.
- Previous experience in school settings, particularly mentoring or supervising SLP CFs.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for student and staff growth.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision through observation and feedback on student sessions.
- Conduct indirect supervision, including reviewing documentation and discussing caseload management.
- Mentor and support the SLP CF in clinical decision-making and professional development.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and ethical standards in school-based speech-language pathology services.
- Collaborate with other school professionals and families as needed to optimize student outcomes.
