Pharmacist - Media, Pennsylvania

A 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacist at a specialized compounding pharmacy located in Kennett Square, PA. This role focuses on preparing non-sterile compounded medications with precision, adherence to regulatory standards, and dedication to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets and company SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining stringent quality control standards.
• Adhere to cleaning and garbing policies to maintain a sterile work environment.
• Perform calculations and maintain detailed documentation for all compounding activities.
• Operate production and computerized equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify medicine accuracy, purity, and potency.
• Prepare work areas thoroughly and utilize appropriate aseptic techniques.
• Stay current with new compounding methods, formulations, and technologies through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
• Recent pharmacy experience, specifically in non-sterile compounding.
• Strong knowledge of compounding pharmacy practices and regulatory requirements.
• Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving skills and commitment to patient safety.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
