Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Current licensure (or eligibility) as a School Psychologist within the state
- Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, developing interventions, and collaborating on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, learning disabilities, and behavioral management strategies
- Excellent communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments to identify student needs
- Participate in eligibility determination and intervention planning meetings
- Deliver direct support services including counseling, behavioral interventions, and crisis response
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and support staff to implement effective strategies for student success
- Provide staff and parent training on topics related to mental health, learning strategies, and behavior management
- Advocate for a safe and inclusive school climate
- Maintain accurate, confidential student records and documentation as required
