Step into a leadership role shaping the future of special education for middle school students as an onsite Evaluation Team Leader for the 2026/2027 academic year. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations and championing the success of exceptional learners.

Your expertise will drive specialized services by coordinating the special education process, developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and serving as a vital link among students, families, staff, and community partners. What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Current Massachusetts certification as a Teacher for Students with Moderate Disabilities preferred; alternate DESE certifications or licensure considered
  • At least three years of successful experience in public schools
  • Background in special education, guidance, counseling, or psychology
  • Demonstrated empathy working with children and adults in a multicultural setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to facilitate compliance with M.G.L. 71B and 603 CMR 28.00 Special Education regulations
  • Willingness to attend professional development and ongoing training

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead IEP development, ensuring accuracy and timely completion for assigned caseloads
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to deliver effective specialized services
  • Support building principals and participate in meetings and professional learning
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all state and federal mandates
  • Pass all required screenings, including drug testing, fingerprinting, and background checks
