Step into a highly impactful, full-time contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Behavior Specialist during the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite position offers the chance to make a difference within a dynamic educational environment near Philadelphia, PA, starting August 24, 2026 and concluding June 10, 2027. You’ll play a vital role in training staff, guiding evidence-based classroom practices, and supporting the unique needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania educator certification in Special Education or a related field
  • Substantial school-based experience, particularly in autism support or special education
  • In-depth familiarity with evidence-based interventions for students with ASD
  • Prior experience in urban educational settings
  • Proven ability to conduct staff trainings and model best practices
  • Comfort collaborating across teams and with external consultants
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to complete all required PA clearances
  • Availability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, between 7:15AM and 4:00PM; no accommodations for scheduling
  • Confidence navigating district procedures and varied school locations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Train new and returning staff in autism instructional practices and behavior support plans
  • Conduct in-class coaching, model interventions, and provide direct student support
  • Facilitate reviews of IEPs, BIPs, and documentation with building staff
  • Support assessment, scheduling, and logistics for Year 1 teams
  • Collaborate with consultants to align practices with district and state guidelines
  • Ensure the consistent transfer and implementation of effective strategies district-wide
  • Deliver corrective feedback and help teams maintain fidelity to student programs
  • Lead professional development and respond to evolving staff and student needs throughout the year
