Job Description
An outstanding opportunity awaits an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting young learners’ growth. This contract position involves working full-time across two elementary schools and servicing one private school student. The assignment begins in early November and is tentatively set through late January, with the possibility of extension through February.
You'll provide crucial OT interventions to elementary-aged students, helping them achieve their academic and developmental milestones during a maternity leave coverage. Your expertise will make a direct impact supporting teachers, families, and students during a critical period.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Georgia (required)
- Previous experience providing OT support in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based pediatric therapy methods
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families
- Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable for working across multiple sites
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload of elementary students, adjusting interventions as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in two elementary schools and one private school environment
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate student records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create supportive learning environments
- Attend meetings, provide teacher consultations, and support family education
