Step into an impactful role supporting students across two welcoming school communities near Newark, DE. This full-time contract opportunity starts August 25, 2026, and continues through June 8, 2027. In this position, you’ll provide essential school psychological services to both elementary and middle school students, splitting your time between two conveniently located campuses. Your work week will be Monday through Friday, with a total of 37.5 hours.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Delaware School Psychologist license (required to be considered)
  • Experience providing psychological services in educational settings
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators
  • Flexibility in working with a diverse caseload across grade levels
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage services at multiple sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ cognitive, academic, and social-emotional needs using standardized tools and evidence-based practices
  • Develop and interpret Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and recommendations
  • Provide direct support and interventions to students, including individual and group counseling
  • Consult with educators, families, and outside specialists to support student success and school improvement plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to help address learning and behavioral challenges
  • Document and communicate student progress and services in accordance with district and state guidelines
