Job Summary
The Cable Apprentice will assist the data center team with basic cable work, including running it up ladders, organizing, and general support tasks. This is a hands on role that requires working on your feet for 12 hours a day, climbing ladders, following directions, and being adaptable. Prior experience working in a data center/cabling environment preferred. This is going to be a 2-week sprint with a 6-week maintenance period that requires LONG hours and various work.
Job Requirements
- OSHA 10
- Comfortable climbing ladders and performing general labor
- Warehouse, assembly, or general labor experience
- Cabling or rack-and-stack experience is a plus
- Reliable and hard-working
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to read basic drawings or blueprints
- Comfortable with the schedule
- Reliable transportation to commute to Madison, NC 6 days per week
- Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed
- PPE Requirements: Hard hat and steel toe boots
Additional Details and Plusses
- Prior experience with fiber, cables, or new standard copper (AEC)
- Knowledge of different types of cable
Location: Madison, NC 27025
Schedule: 6 days a week - 12 hour days; Day shift only, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (72 hours per week)
Pay: $22/hour for 40 hours; $32/ hour for 32 hours - $1,900 altogether compensation per week
Duration: 8 weeks
Start Date: July 27th
