Location: Hybrid Schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote after training period)
Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential extensions)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support the successful shipment and delivery of equipment for customer projects. This role is responsible for coordinating domestic and international logistics activities, ensuring accurate shipping documentation, tracking deliveries, managing carrier communications, and supporting on-time project execution.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can quickly adapt to changing regulations and supply chain challenges, and has hands-on experience with international shipping, customs processes, and import/export compliance.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate door-to-door equipment deliveries from internal and external suppliers
- Prepare and execute shipping documentation required for domestic and international shipments
- Book and manage truck transportation and freight services
- Track shipments and provide status updates to project stakeholders
- Monitor equipment delivery schedules and report delivery status
- Review, approve, and process shipping invoices for payment
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Support import and export activities while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Assist with expediting shipments to maintain project timelines
- Troubleshoot transportation and logistics issues as they arise
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in logistics coordination
- 2+ years of experience supporting commercial logistics, supply chain operations, importing, and exporting
- Experience managing:
- Shipping certificates and export documentation
- Customs duties and import VAT regulations
- Customs invoices and packing lists
- International cross-border shipping requirements
- INCOTERMS and global trade procedures
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a changing logistics environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field
- Experience working with international freight forwarding and customs compliance
- Knowledge of global transportation and shipping best practices
