Pharmacist in West Chester, PA

A 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacist specializing in non-sterile compounding at a compounding pharmacy facility in Kennett Square, PA. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, safety, and compliance of compounded non-sterile preparations.

Responsibilities:

• Verify compounded non-sterile preparations align with master formula worksheets.
• Implement and comply with standard operating procedures and policies to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to cleaning and garbing policies according to company standards.
• Perform necessary calculations and complete required documentation.
• Operate production equipment accurately following established procedures.
• Apply proper aseptic techniques during preparation.
• Prepare work areas thoroughly prior to production runs.
• Monitor computerized and technical equipment to maintain quality standards.
• Verify the quality, purity, and potency of compounded medications.
• Conduct quality control tests and inspections on compounded preparations.
• Stay updated on new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies.
• Commit to ongoing professional development in compounding pharmacy practices.

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
• Recent pharmacy experience.
• Proven background in non-sterile compounding.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

This position is initially offered as a contract-to-hire with a 13-week duration and is located in the West Chester, PA area, with work at the Kennett Square facility.
