Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity working with students as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a full-time leave coverage assignment from August through the end of September. This position serves elementary and middle school students, supporting their engagement and success within the school environment. The role is conveniently located near Lebanon, OH, and provides hands-on collaboration within a dynamic school setting for an enriching experience in pediatric practice.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Ohio
- Current Ohio Department of Education (ODE) certification
- Valid Ohio COTA license (if applying as a COTA)
- Prior experience in school-based or home health OT/COTA roles is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to support students, families, and school teams
- Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in daily activities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to elementary and middle school students as specified in IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized student goals
- Conduct assessments and document progress with accuracy and timeliness
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to goal development
- Support inclusive practices within the school environment
- Adapt and modify interventions to address student needs effectively
