Gen Ed Teacher - Harvey, LA

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Active and current Louisiana Department of Education Teaching Certificate (no Temporary Authority to Teach accepted)
• Elementary General Education teaching experience preferred
• Ability to start the school year on August 3, 2026, and commit through May 27, 2027
• Full-time availability: 35 hours per week (7 hours/day, Monday–Friday)
• Willingness to complete all pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and fingerprinting, in accordance with school district and company requirements
• Proficiency in creating an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective instruction aligned to district standards and curriculum
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress and development
• Work alongside colleagues and administrators to ensure academic and behavioral success
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
