Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license
- Previous experience in a school health setting highly preferred
- Solid knowledge of pediatric/adolescent care and chronic disease management
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Ability to quickly build rapport with students, school staff, and parents
- CPR/BLS certification
- Adaptability to shifting school environments and varying student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students, including administering medications, first aid, and emergency interventions as needed
- Support students with chronic health needs (e.g., diabetes, asthma) by developing and implementing care plans
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records according to school policy
- Serve as a health resource for faculty and parents, promoting overall wellness
- Monitor and track communicable diseases and immunization compliance
- Contribute to safe, inclusive school environments by advocating for student health needs
