Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites as a School Psychologist on a part-time contract basis. Your expertise will be instrumental in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, working directly with children, families, and educational teams to promote student success. The position begins July 27, 2026, and continues through May 24, 2027, with a couple of professional development days to launch the year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active LA DOE School Psychology certification (required)
- Experience with psychoeducational evaluations, IDEA compliance, and special education eligibility
- Strong ability to interpret assessment data and write thorough evaluation reports
- Excellent communication skills to present results to students, parents, and school teams
- Collaborative spirit, adept at working alongside educators, diagnosticians, and related service providers
- Organizational skills for maintaining case records, timelines, and program accountability
- Comfort working across several school buildings with a diverse PK-12 caseload
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply!
- Willingness to complete required district background check/fingerprinting
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ educational and behavioral needs
- Provide written reports, referrals, and recommendations in coordination with educational teams
- Serve as a liaison to families, offering guidance and information about resources
- Consult with teachers, principals, and other staff to implement interventions and strategies
- Maintain accurate reports and documentation for compliance and continuity
- Take part in professional development and training initiatives
- Articulate assessment procedures and findings to a variety of stakeholders
- Engage in planning and implementing individualized programs for students
