Make a difference in students' lives supporting learners in a self-contained LD classroom. This full-time opportunity offers a contract position for a dedicated Special Education Teacher at the middle school level. You’ll be working on-site and providing essential guidance and instruction to students with learning disabilities in a supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification for South Carolina, or eligibility/pending status
• Experience teaching in an LD/self-contained classroom preferred
• Deep understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
• Patience, adaptability, and exceptional communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging environment

Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students in a self-contained classroom for learning disabilities
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with IEPs and school standards
• Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
