This onsite, contract position runs from August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027, aligning with a 184-day academic calendar and offering 35 hours per week supporting students as part of an itinerant service model. Your expertise will help foster inclusive, engaging physical education experiences for students with diverse needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid California teaching credential specific to Adaptive Physical Education
  • Demonstrated experience, passion, or training in adaptive or special education PE settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multiple school sites, students, and staff
  • Ability to independently travel between educational locations throughout the workweek
  • Proven skills in lesson adaptation and differentiation for students with a variety of abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored physical education for students with disabilities, ensuring all receive equitable access to P.E. curricula
  • Travel between assigned sites to deliver direct and consultative support
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and appropriate adaptations
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Deliver engaging, motivating lessons to encourage active participation and skill development
