Title: Quality Control Inspector
Location: San Ramon, CA – 94583
Duration: 6 Months
Shift 1:30 PM to 10::000 PM or 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Description:
- We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Inspector.
- The Inspector performs basic routine inspection of electronic, electro-mechanical and/or mechanical materials, components and sub-assemblies received, in process of manufacture, or manufactured, for conformance with quality assurance standards.
Position Summary:
- Performs inspection and testing of purchased materials, components and products in accordance with policy and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Performs visual, dimensional and functional inspection and testing according to documented policies and procedures.
- Records inspection and test data as prescribed by written instructions and procedures.
- Operates all associated test and measurement equipment as instructed and as documented in procedures.
- Recommends changes to policies and procedures.
- May prepare and submit change requests.
- Documents non-conformances in Non-Conforming Material Review system.
- Participates in GR&R studies as directed by engineers or technicians.
- Collects data for First Article inspections.
- Performs testing and inspection in accordance with special test requests.
- May train other Inspectors.
- Assists in gathering, analyzing, and trending of data.
Other Duties:
- Performs work of a miscellaneous nature as required.
- Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- HS diploma required.
- 1-2 years of exp. desired.
- Basic computer skills.
- Potential to extend and/or convert for right candidate based on attendance and performance but no guarantee.
- T[!--StartFragment--]his individual should be able to read and comprehend drawings & basic GD&T, experience with inspection sampling techniques (AQL Sampling) be able to perform visual, dimensional, functional inspection using basic hand tools or automated inspection equipment, operating CMM.
