Job Summary
A growing organization in Columbia, SC is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support continued revenue growth, market expansion, and client relationship development. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a motivated sales and business development professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and identifying new opportunities in a goal-oriented environment.
The Business Development Specialist will partner closely with sales and marketing teams to generate qualified leads, support outreach campaigns, prepare sales materials, and help convert prospects into long-term business relationships. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative, team-focused environment with supportive leadership, clear performance goals, and opportunities to strengthen your skills in field sales, lead generation, CRM management, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective clients, target accounts, and new business opportunities within assigned markets.
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, email outreach, social media, and other prospecting methods.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with prospective clients, business partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, reports, and sales support materials to assist with business development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, track sales activities, monitor pipeline progress, and report on business development performance.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $50,000 to $55,000 per year.
