A specialty compounding pharmacy in Coatesville, PA is seeking a dedicated pharmacist with expertise in sterile compounding to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers the opportunity to apply your clinical pharmacy skills in ensuring the safe and compliant preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications according to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets.
  • Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to ensure patient safety and meet state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with USP standards and other relevant compounding guidelines.
  • Follow cleaning and garbing protocols rigorously.
  • Perform calculations and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Operate production and technical computerized equipment while monitoring quality standards.
  • Utilize correct aseptic techniques to maintain medication quality, purity, and potency.
  • Prepare work areas thoroughly and conduct quality control tests to verify compounded preparation accuracy.
  • Stay current on new compounding techniques, formulations, and industry developments.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development in compounding pharmacy.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
  • Recent pharmacy experience with demonstrated sterile compounding expertise.
  • Open to new graduates eager to develop skills in sterile compounding.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and safety.

Schedule Options:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM OR 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Alternating Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM shift may be assigned.
