In this contract position, your expertise will help foster student independence, engagement, and participation in daily school activities. Working collaboratively with educators and families, you’ll play a key role in delivering tailored therapy services that address each child’s unique needs.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
- Organized, flexible, and passionate about helping children succeed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy services to students with various developmental, physical, or sensory needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, supporting each student’s educational goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to create and review IEPs
- Consult with educators, staff, and families to recommend accommodations and support student success in the classroom
- Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and complete all required documentation in a timely manner
- Provide training and education for school staff on OT strategies and supports
