Empower young learners as a full-time Special Education Resource Teacher supporting students in grades K-5. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity at the elementary level in a dedicated educational environment. As a vital member of the team, you’ll help shape individualized learning strategies and advocate for students’ growth.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education
  • Prior experience working with elementary-age children in a resource or special education setting
  • Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, modification, and implementation
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with parents, teachers, and support professionals
  • Ability to tailor curriculum and instructional strategies to diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted instruction and interventions to K-5 students requiring special education services
  • Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate special education accommodations in general education classrooms
  • Conduct assessments and interpret data to inform educational planning
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district and state requirements

This position is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week, beginning in late August 2026 and ending in early June 2027, aligning with the academic calendar. You’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ educational journeys in a supportive and professional environment.
