Special Education Teacher, Resource Room
Location: Waterford, MI
Schedule: Full Time
Position Details:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full time Resource Room (LRC) position at Mason Elementary School. The teacher will provide specialized instruction in a SPED Lab/Literacy Lab setting with a focus on Language Arts and Math. This role offers opportunities for co teaching and collaboration with general education teachers to support student success and achievement of IEP goals.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group instruction in Language Arts and Math
Implement and monitor student IEP goals and objectives
Collaborate with general education teachers through co teaching opportunities
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
Active Michigan Special Education Certification
Experience working in a Resource Room or LRC setting preferred
Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills
