Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Resource Teacher focused on supporting elementary students (K-4th grade) in a specialized setting. You’ll work closely with approximately 15 students, helping them achieve success in both Math and Reading, specifically supporting those with BEH-SLD needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing IEPs tailored to each student’s unique learning needs
- Delivering engaging, differentiated instruction in Math and Reading
- Monitoring progress and maintaining detailed documentation of student performance
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff for comprehensive student support
- Communicating regularly with families to share updates and celebrate student achievements
- Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters growth and confidence
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with elementary students, especially in resource or BEH-SLD (behavior and specific learning disabilities) environments
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion and commitment to student growth and advocacy
