ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified High School Special Education Science Teacher for a full-time position with Paul Public Charter Schools in Washington, DC for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to support high school students through a combination of co-teaching and self-contained instruction while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.
Position Details:
Full-time position
2026-2027 school year
High school caseload
Teach 9th Grade Biology and 10th Grade Chemistry
Mix of self-contained and co-teaching classroom settings
No case management responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized science instruction aligned with student IEP accommodations and curriculum standards
Collaborate with general education science teachers in co-taught classroom settings
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and learning needs of students
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with administrators and related service providers
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Qualifications:
Active or pending Washington, DC Special Education teaching license required
Science teaching experience preferred
Previous school-based Special Education experience preferred
Strong collaboration, classroom management, and instructional skills
Passion for supporting high school students with diverse learning needs
