Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification or license as a school psychologist
- Prior experience working in school settings (elementary experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Strong problem-solving and advocacy skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds
- Skilled in conducting assessments, developing interventions, and leading multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services to elementary school students
- Administer and interpret academic, cognitive, and behavioral assessments
- Develop strategies and interventions to support students’ learning and wellbeing
- Collaborate with educators and parents to create effective support plans
- Participate in the IEP process and contribute to student plans as needed
- Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation to students and staff
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school requirements
