Located onsite near Southborough, MA, this assignment offers a chance to make a significant impact within a specialized timeframe. You will work directly with a student who, while no longer enrolled in the district, requires support as mandated through a state-initiated process. Your expertise in school-based and home health pediatric OT will ensure that essential services are delivered with care, professionalism, and sensitivity to complex circumstances.

Key Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in both school-based and home health OT settings
  • Understanding of compensatory education services and compliance with state regulatory processes
  • Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with families and school representatives even in non-traditional situations
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality given the unique caseload
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite direct occupational therapy services as outlined in the compensatory agreement
  • Conduct thorough assessment and documentation of all therapy sessions
  • Liaise with district representatives to ensure service compliance and progress
  • Adapt therapy techniques to the student’s current circumstances, ensuring meaningful engagement
  • Complete a total of 8 hours of service provision, according to schedule arranged with the family and district
