Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers seeking a rewarding contract role within a large and dynamic district near Eden Prairie, MN. The assignment runs from August 34, 2026, through June 11, 2027, for a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours weekly. With three positions available, educators will support diverse student populations across various campuses, focusing primarily on Setting 3 Autism programs at primary and secondary levels. Caseloads and specific school assignments may evolve throughout the school year as needs arise and staff transitions occur.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education is required
  • Experience working with students in Setting 3 Autism programs or similar environments is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and families
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and school assignments
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students with special needs, emphasizing Autism-specific strategies and interventions
  • Develop, review, and manage IEPs in collaboration with parents, staff, and administrators
  • Track and report student progress, utilizing data-driven approaches
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations related to special education
  • Maintain positive communication with families and support networks
